State lottery authorities announced Monday that a Michigan man won $150K.Before vacationing, Kim Busscher, 67, bought the ticket.
"I couldn't believe it!" A 67-year-old and his wife won $150,000 in the Powerball while sunbathing on a beach.
The Michigan Lottery said on Monday that Holland resident Kim Busscher bought the ticket from a Shell petrol station in February before vacationing. He didn't want to miss the drawing.
I checked my ticket on the beach a few days later. Busscher informed lottery authorities that he checked his numbers after seeing someone win $150,000.
"When I realized I was the big winner, I couldn't believe it!" he said. "I had my wife look over the ticket to make sure I was reading it right & then we called our family to tell them the good news."
The state lottery said his ticket matched the Powerball, four white balls, and $50,000. His Power Play reward was $150,000.
Busscher received his win from the Michigan Lottery. His new riches will be saved and shared with family. He also wants to contribute money.
As Insider reported earlier this month, a guy on vacation in Florida won $5 million with a lotto scratch-off.
