We still don't know which teams will play in Super Bowl LVII, but one part of the biggest sporting event of the year is set: the music.
The NFL, Roc Nation, and Apple Music announced back in September that Grammy Award winner Rihanna will be performing at halftime,
but fans have been waiting to find out who will be performing before the game. And we're glad to see a major country music star on the list.
The NFL made the news public on Instagram on January 24. R&B star Babyface will sing "America the Beautiful."
Abbott Elementary star Sheryl Lee Ralph will perform "Lift Every Voice and Sing," and country star Chris Stapleton will sing the National Anthem.
The "Tennessee Whiskey" singer is known for his bluesy-rock style of country. He has won 8 Grammys, 10 ACM awards, and 14 CMA awards.
But some football fans didn't know the name and left comments like, "Please tell me I'm not the only one who doesn't know any of these people," "Who?who?and who?" and "This seems missable."
But the NFL Instagram account was also full of excited country music fans who wrote, "Chris Stapleton's national anthem will not be matched," "Chris Stapleton is amazing, I can't wait!"
"Stapleton is actually hot," and "Too many people are sleeping on Chris Stapleton. Get some education, people."
The Super Bowl is on Fox on February 12. Start time is 6:30 p.m. EST, but you'll want to tune in early to make sure you don't miss any of these performances.
