Julianne Moore's career

Moore has long been gay designer and director Tom Ford's muse. Ford and Moore share more than his gorgeous clothes.

The Gay film follows Colin Firth's George Falconer, who loses his lifelong lover Jim in a car tragedy. Moore plays Charley, Falconer's best friend and ex-wife.

Let's talk about her LGBT roles! Julianne Moore has played seven gay roles. Which ones do you remember?

Moore played terminally ill investigator Laurel Hester in "Freeheld."

The real Laurel Hester inspired Moore's character and plot (who actually was a detective in New Jersey).

The video focused on how domestic relationships among same-sex couples in the 2000s in the US were still not deemed marriages, leaving one partner with nothing if the other died.

Moore portrays fame-hungry actress Havana Segrand in the drama "Maps to the Stars." Moore, her boyfriend, and a woman they picked up on the way home had a threesome in the movie.

"The film displays Havana enjoying the most pointless, pleasureless sex possible is a metaphor for her character's propensity to never be fulfilled," Pride writes.

Moore's personal assistant, Mia Wasikowska (middle), and the limousine driver, Robert Pattinson (right), also star in the film.

Moore won Best Actress for 'Maps to the Stars' at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. In 2014, she received Best Actress at the Sitges Film Festival.
